Welcome! If you’re wondering what all the 31 hubbub is about. Read this.
I’m sure that this will be my favorite interview of the month. I’m proud to introduce you to Miss Emily Marie.
This girl. Oh this girl. The girl has one ginormous personality. She has two older brothers. (If you couldn’t tell by the Indiana Jones Lego game in the background of that picture.) And when I found out that my third child was going to be a girl, I was a little skeered. I cannot tell a lie. But, oh my goodness, am I so glad that God is smarter than me. She is hilarious. She is loved by her brothers. She is a daddy’s girl through and through. She keeps us on our toes. We didn’t know how boring our life was without her. She makes friends at the playground. at the restaurant. at the doctor’s office. on day one of school. I’m sure that as she gets older she will consider it her personal challenge to pull her introverted family out into the world of the living. And if you start a conversation with her, be forewarned. She will tell you all of the details of her upcoming Hello Kitty birthday party. In April.
It is not easy interviewing a 3 year old. Answers can be a bit unconventional 🙂
What’s your favorite book right now?
What’s your favorite movie?
Ok but you’re always quoting Despicable Me. What’s your favorite line from that movie?
What do you like to watch with mommy?
“Boss in the Cake” Cake Boss.
What do you like to watch with daddy?
“Strawberry Shortcake” Daddy lets her pick. He’s nicer than me 🙂
What do you want to do when you grow up?
“be a teacher” She loves her preschool teachers.
What is your favorite color?
“I like purple and green and orange and blue…..and alllll the colors of the rainbow of the whole wide world.”
Where do you love to eat?
“chinese noodles.” Why do you love it there? “because I get ICE CREAM!”
Who is your favorite superhero?
“bee girl.” The boys tell me her correct name is Wasp. And I would have thought for sure it would have been Captain America.
What is your favorite game?
“hello kitty game”
Have you played that game?
“no. But I will get it for my birthday.” Such faith. Again, her birthday is in April. At least I have time to find this elusive game.
What do you like to do outside?
“well when the snow comes, I will like to do snow fights. And build a santa claus…nooo, a Frosty!”
Can you tell me a joke?
“knock knock.” who’s there? “the pig crossed the road.” the pig crossed the road who? “because he peed on the road.” Emily! That’s not nice. The piggie should have went inside to use the bathroom. “mama! you know piggies don’t know how to go inside and do that!”
What is your favorite song right now?
The lyrics are undergoing copy writing, but here they are for your enjoyment:
“Princess, Princess, Princess, Princess–one and a two and a three
Princess, Princess–one and a two and a three four five.
Princess want to sing—and dance and one and a two
And five four princess, princess, Princess!
and one one one one one one one.
She likes to dance. She likes to dance. and a one and—PRINCESS!!!”
Perhaps she will grow up to be a teacher/singer/dancer/songwriter. Quadruple Threat.
And if that doesn’t work out, maybe she’ll go into fashion.
I love her with my whole heart. She is one smart, witty, loving and happy little girl.
I do not know exactly what her life will be like as she gets older. But with God’s help, her daddy and I will do our best to raise her into what He created her to be.
I am confident that–
She will be courageous.
She will be bold.
She will be truthful.
She will be loving.
and I will love her forever.
You’ll get to meet my close friend, Kelley, on day four. See you tomorrow!
