Welcome to 31 days of Media Memories. If you’re scratching your head because you have no idea what I’m talking about, start here.
I loved my history class in 11th grade. My teacher would set up a game of Jeopardy on the chalkboard each week and it was his way of quizzing us on what we learned. I was always up for a little friendly competition. He also always had a bonus question on the end of the week test. If you wonder how I feel about bonus questions, check out yesterday’s post.
I was in the middle of reading Uncle Tom’s Cabin one week and I had it sitting on my desk. After taking my tests, I would usually read a book while the other students finished. That week the bonus question was, “Who wrote the book Uncle Tom’s Cabin?”
I quickly wrote ‘Harriet Beecher Stowe’ and then turned my book upside down just in case I got in trouble for cheating….and so my neighbors couldn’t see the answer. Yeah I was awesome like that. Or not.
